Thank you for the opportunity to submit for an interview.
Fascinated by the zeitgeist of both past and present, my journey into design started with an obsession for pushing boundaries that seemed nonexistent in art school. I hoped to push these boundaries and connect with people.
My dream was to work in small studios, creating bespoke branding for both small brands and large companies that value integrity and niche brand perception. I was drawn to packaging, editorial, and experiential design—the tangible and analog sort.
Years later, with extensive experience in digital marketing, this job at Wonderkin feels like an amalgamation of the kind of job I would write for myself. Social media has become the new in-person experience, complementing traditional face-to-face interactions.
Thank you for reviewing my submission and spending your time in consideration of my application.
Take it easy :)

Design Sample : Can-Tini

For my main design example I chose to riff off of the digital multi-media collages the brand utilizes in its social grid. It feels like an appropriate median sampling
I'm loving with how the Con-Tini brand manages to seamlessly capture 90's après ski/surfside prep, 60's tiki, and 1950's illustrations you'd find on a hotel menu or stationery without missing a beat!
Concepts & Rough Sketches

Simple tiki drink recipe and rough illustration inspired by a 1966 A&P coffee ad in LIFE Magazine.

Concept revolves around the length of summer days and having a great beverage from afternoon to night that puts pep in your step. Extended calendar days could be an animated background in an IG story ; scrolling, like they are being stretched like taffy

Design Sample : Halfday Tea

I chose to make an animated story/reel for the Halfday brand. I appreciate how much this company utilizes current trends to reach its audience. For that reason I decided to execute an idea that plays off the of-the-moment hilarity of America's obsession with giant Stanley mugs.
(They are kinda fun :)

Rough concept: "What's Your OG Summer Toy" based on your star sign. Get matched with a drink and toy.
